The intentions of this Website

  1. Bring to the attention of Brisbane Russia's Compatriot Community (BRCC) about the "Window of Opportunity".
  2. Give BRCC a chance for constructive input and to contribute to "team effort".
  3. Be witness of success or otherwise of proposed development.

The proposed stages are:

  1. Identification of functions/services that the new facility will provide - these must be acceptable to BCC and fall within the "Special Area" designation, that is currently being negotiated. This is to be finalized by July 31st 2009.
  2. Drafting of architect plans based on specifications in (a) These plans to be displayed on this Website and in other public venues. Constructive input from BRCC will also be welcome, in the early/formative stages, as indicated by the architect - Alexander V. ENBORISOFF
  3. Raising of appropriate funds to complete the project through sponsorships, donations, annual festivals, possibly business partnerships (with QRCC or its equivalent) and other creative means. The cost estimates, at this stage, range between $6-10 million. Marketing of this project will obviously require serious efforts. Creative ideas are welcome at any time.
